Moose Population In Decline

20% drop in Ontario's moose population past 10 years

Apart from natural predators (wolf, coyote and bear), parasites, hunters and diseases borne by flies the impacts of climate change are hard on Ontario's population. All the while, there exists more hunters than moose while calf mortality rates are extremely high. Do we really need to shoot moose, is not a question...we all know the answer.
